TEXAS | 2012

Although compliance audits help stimulate reliability within the industry, the process can be lengthy and somewhat wearisome. Schneider Engineering helped to prepare this Client for a three day audit. This Client met all NERC requirements that were within the scope of the audit.

SCOPE

Schneider Engineering's scope of work included: Managing preparation of DP/LSE audit response, serving as subject matter expert for audit, reviewing active standards with Client, ensuring appropriate documentation and evidence is provided, preparing written responses for each standard requirement, executing and submitting pre-audit questionnaire, reviewing all submittals and developing audit "game plan", and providing follow-up support.

REGAN COUNTY, TX | 2013

This project consisted of four sub-projects, including (1) rebuilding an existing three-phase line to double circuit and convert operating voltage, (2) rebuilding an existing three-phase line to single circuit and convert operating voltage, (3) rebuilding an existing single circuit and convert operating voltage, and (4) constructing two double circuit feeder exits from the substation to existing distribution line. All work performed was related to the construction of a new substation, which Schneider Engineering designed as well.

SCOPE

Schneider Engineering's scope of work included: Construction bidding and contracting, field line design and staking, construction coordination, routine site visits, project tracking reports, routine meetings, updating staking sheets and summaries, preparing plan view drawings, updating grounding layout using AutoCAD, preparing TxDOT permit drawings, preparing and submitting TxDOT permit, and researching articles of electric market update.

GILLESPIE COUNTY, TX | 2012

For this project, Schneider Engineering developed a project plan, budget, and schedule to replace three regulators, replace bypass switches, and add isolation GOAB switches on both sides of the transformer. This project included engineering for phase-to-ground clearance of a 138 kV switch where a communication mast needed to be relocated, as well as consulting services to determine how to remove un-needed weight and stress of pipe bus on transformer low-side bushings. The pipe bus was replaced with 795 ACSR, which included a transformer structure and GOAB.

Schneider Engineering's scope of work included: Construction bidding and contracting, routine site visits, inspection services, routine meetings, consulting services, construction coordination, and preparing "As-Built" drawings.

WILSON COUNTY, TX | 2009

The purpose of this project was to improve the reliability of the electric transmission system while meeting the region's growing demand for electric power. The project consisted of building an 11 mile, 138kV transmission line. The new, single circuit line consisted of three 795 MCM ACSR 26/7 DRAKE conductors and one OPGW shield conductor supported on single-pole concrete and steel structures. The new transmission line now serves as a backup source to other substations in the service territory.

SCOPE

Schneider Engineering's scope of work included: Transmission line design, preparing material lists and specifications, coordinating material bidding and procurement, staking structure locations, project construction tracking and coordination, CCN support / facilitating open house, regulatory compliance and permitting, and preparing "As-Built" package and back-up file.
