GUADALUPE COUNTY, TX | 2012

Schneider Engineering developed a cost-of-service model for this Client who serves various electric rate classes. The purpose of this project was to accurately align revenues from each class of customer according to the costs associated with serving each class. It was also designed to ensure rates were collecting appropriate revenue requirements and margins necessary to operate the electric system. We analyzed this Client's existing rates and recommended rate changes as necessary. With this study it ensured minimal cross-subsidization of rate classes and accounted for large scale changes to the electric system or financial status of the utility.

SCOPE

Schneider Engineering's scope of work included: Developing COS model, reviewing / analyzing financial statements, reviewing / analyzing rate design, aligning electric revenues to budget, reviewing rate competitiveness, and presenting rates to Council.

TEXAS | 2013

Schneider Engineering developed a project plan, budget, and schedule for this transformer upgrade project - removing an existing transformer and replacing with a new ABB 20 MVA transformer. This project consisted of reconnecting existing HV and LV jumpers and building an oil containment moat around the existing transformer pad. It also included replacing all AC/DC and control cables from the transformer control cabinet into the control house and replacing existing AMR coax cable from both T2 and T3 with new RG-213 coax cable in conduit. Schneider Engineering also aided in the purchase and removal of the existing transformer.

SCOPE

Schneider Engineering's scope of work included: Construction bidding and contracting, inspection services, construction coordination, routine site visits, attending routine meetings, and preparing "As-Built" drawings.

DEWITT COUNTY, TX | 2011-2015

Schneider Engineering developed a system planning study for this Client for the period of 2011-2015. The purpose of this study was to determine the system construction projects necessary to maintain reliable and economic service to the system and to determine funding requirement to complete the necessary construction projects.

Customized to this Client, the planning study served as a tactical plan for addressing growth, guiding the City in scheduling and implementing construction that totaled over 1.2 million dollars, provided City Management with detailed cost estimates to be used in Capital Budgets, and insured the continuation of reliable electric service.

SCOPE

Schneider Engineering's scope of work included: Performing detailed analysis and forecast, developing model of distribution system, projecting loads allocated to members, and performing voltage drop studies.

TEXAS | 2013

SE provided testimony and engineering opinion regarding a pole that failed during construction. Our team interviewed foreman present at the time of the accident and made site inspections and inspections of the failed pole. We rendered an opinion as to whether the pole met minimum ANSI standards. We then reviewed and rendered an engineering opinion with regards to the line design and guying implemented by the Utility.

SCOPE

Schneider Engineering's scope of work included: Site inspections, pole inspections, analysis using PLS-CADD, and reporting.
